Metron
Aviation has received several industry awards
that recognize our innovations in technology and
operational research. Individual staff members have
also been acclaimed for their contributions to aviation
publications.
Metron Aviation and
10 current Metron Aviation employees were awarded
the prestigious 2004 Turning Goals Into Reality
(TGIR) award from NASA for exceptional progress
toward the increase capacity and mobility objective
as part of the SMS Development team.
Awarded to Metron Aviation staff for best paper
at technical conferences.
Andrew Ryan, Metron Aviation Analyst, awarded 1st
Place Technical Paper and Presentation for the paper:
"Increasing Route Utilization in the National
Airspace System," Texas Tech University, April
2001.
Awarded by INFORMS for outstanding work in an operations
research project.
Awarded by former Vice President Al Gore's National
Partnership for Reinventing Government to the FAA's
Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) Program. Metron
Aviation was among the groups in CDM recognized
by the award. Individuals from Metron Aviation recognized
were Kan Chang, Miro Lehky, Midori Tanino, and Mike
Wambsganss.
Awarded to several individuals in Metron Aviation
by the FAA for pioneering work on Collaborative
Decision Making that reduced over 3 million minutes
of delay in the National Airspace System (NAS).
Awarded to Collaborative Decision Making by the
FAA to acknowledge the hard work and dedication
demonstrated by both the NAS users and providers
during the previous year. Metron Aviation is a leading
partner in the CDM program.
Awarded to Laura MacDonald, Metron Aviation Technical
Writer by ATCA for the best technical article published
in the ATCA Journal in 1998.
