Convective weather is the single most disruptive force affecting the operation of aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS). In order to mitigate weather-induced disruptions, NAS stakeholders and participating meteorologists have developed the Collaborative Convective Forecast Product (CCFP) is the cornerstone of the traffic flow management planning process. The TFM Weather Apps team works to identify, develop, implement and improve traffic flow management procedures and strategies using information gained from weather products.
Weather Application Goals:
1. Develop and implement integrated training process on CCFP 2. Create a mechanism to train on program changes and updates. 3. Implement CCFP improvements to include and update process. 4. Explore using the information provided in additional weather products to develop traffic flow management strategies
