Mr. Ratcliffe has over 33 years of air traffic control and management experience. Before joining Metron Aviation, he was Manager of the Central Airspace Management Unit (CAMU) at South Africa's Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS), responsible multiple departments, including Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM), which implemented strategic, pre-tactical and tactical concepts in South African Airspace. Mr. Ratcliffe was responsible for supervising the African Regional Monitoring Agency, IATA strategic slot allocation, Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) and country-wide ATFM. Mr. Ratcliffe’s previous positions with ATNS include Principle Air Traffic Controller, ATC Standards Officer and Chief Air Traffic Controller for approach, tower and area operations. Mr. Ratcliffe was a founding member of the Aviation Sub-Sector Task Team and part of the Operational Project Team within ATNS, which coordinated all activities for the aviation sector.
