
Phillip Thurston
Vice President, Global Services, Commercial Products and Solutions
Mr. Thurston has over 27 years of experience in program management, engineering, operations, and product integration. Mr. Thurston joined Metron Aviation from Lockheed Martin (formally Loral and IBM Federal Systems). His most recent position was as Engineering Director where he led more than 300 employees and over 100 subcontractors in support of the Security and Citizen Protection and the Enterprise IT & Data Solutions lines of business. Key programs supported included U.S. Census, United Kingdom Census, Canadian Census, NARA Electronic Records Archives, Transportation Worker Identification Credential, CBP Modernization and various biometrics programs in the security arena. Additional experience included directing engineering for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Program for Lockheed Martin.
Mr. Thurston also managed Air Traffic Control Terminal Programs, including Deputy Program Manager for the Korea Air Control Center program and as Chief Engineer for the Host and Oceanic Computer System Replacement Program within Lockheed Martin. Mr. Thurston has a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, with a focus on Computer Science.
