
James Gaughan
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Gaughan has over 25 years experience in traffic management, systems engineering, software development, product integration and testing, with a track record of success in managing large, complex technology programs. Prior to joining Metron Aviation, Mr. Gaughan was Program Director for the MTA IESS/C3 Program at Lockheed Martin. He was responsible for all aspects of a $320M program to secure public transportation in New York City by providing Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS), at 25 monitored locations and C3 Command Centers.
Mr. Gaughan’s vast experience also includes several high-level positions at Lockheed Martin, in both security systems and 20 years of Air Traffic Management. As Director / Chief Engineer for the Air Traffic Management business unit, Mr. Gaughan was responsible for delivery of key FAA programs for en route (Display System Replacement), terminal (Common ARTS) and oceanic (ATOP). Mr. Gaughan received a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University and maintains Top Secret SSBI clearance.
