
Dr. Terence Thompson
Vice President and Chief Environmental Scientist, Technology Advisory Services
Dr. Thompson leads the Technology Advisory Services unit addressing the soundness of the company's scientific endeavors, staff education, university relations, and intellectual property. He also serves as chief scientist for our environmental research and has been technical director of the FAA’s Noise Integrated Routing System (NIRS) for regional environmental assessment, and Principal Investigator for NASA’s NAS-wide Environmental-Impact Model (NASEIM). Dr. Thompson currently leads efforts in surface/terminal environmental management, and supports JPDO NextGen environmental-analysis activities.
Dr. Thompson is a member of the JPDO Environmental Working Group and the FAA Partnership for Air Transportation Noise and Emission Reduction (PARTNER). He also supports environmental research at the Center for Air Transportation System Research (CATSR) at George Mason University. Dr. Thompson holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Michigan, a B.S. in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Ph.D. in Computational Biophysics from the University of Rochester Medical School.
