The Intermediate FSM course builds upon the
knowledge you gained in the basic course. You will
gain an in-depth understanding of the analysis capabilities
included in FSM. This class will help you understand
trends in your flight operations and study the air
traffic events over a period of time. As well, you
will learn strategies to keep your most important
flights operating as normally as possible under
adverse conditions. Learn to work with the FAA ATCSCC
more effectively to coordinate air traffic activity.
- Monitoring demand and capacity
during regular operations. Anticipating airborne
holding and assessing route strategies.
- Planning in advance. Issuing internal
GDPs to avoid gate gridlock. Modeling GDPs for
next day planning.
- Monitor GDP compliance and time
out delays. Generating slot lists and assessing
slot usage.
- How to anticipate GDP extensions
and revisions and model GDP cancellations.
- How to coordinate with FAA ATCSCC
and communicate delay information internally.
- Monitor overall delay statistics
using statistics reports and histograms and retrieve
delay information for affected flights.
- Use post-operational analysis to
review GDP impacts, compliance, and delay reductions.
- Monitor overall data quality.
- Requirements and mechanisms needed
for CDM Simplified Substitution. (Advanced)
- How to use substitution to reduce
delay on strategic flights. (Advanced)
