Stuart Ratcliffe Joins Metron Aviation’s Commercial Products and Solutions Group

Mr. Ratcliffe’s tenure at ATNS is extensive, having recently managed Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) functions that implemented strategic, pre-tactical and tactical concepts in South African airspace. Mr. Ratcliffe was responsible for supervising the African Regional Monitoring Agency, IATA strategic slot allocation, Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) and country-wide ATFM.  Mr. Ratcliffe’s previous positions with ATNS include Principle Air Traffic Controller, ATC Standards Officer and Chief Air Traffic Controller for approach, tower and area operations.

Mr. Ratcliffe was also a founding member of the task force and operational project teams which developed traffic management procedures and processes for use during the FIFA 2010 World Cup™.  He has contributed to the airspace management for several other high-demand events including; the African Union Conference, World Summit for Sustainable Development South Africa and the 2003 Cricket World Cup (CWC) South Africa.
