Airport/Airspace Capacity and Air Traffic Flow Management – Unlock the Untapped Capacity of your National Aviation System
With air traffic projected to double in next 15 years yet many Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP) today find it difficult to accurately measure their airport and airspace capacities, let alone manage them for maximum efficiency.
View Webinar
How can ANSPs measure the true capacity of their current aviation system? How can ANSPs safely increase their national and regional airspace’s total system capacity to handle increasing demand? What optimization methods can help us balance capacity and demand to increase total system throughput during peak periods? How can ANSPs optimize sectors to harness the benefits of Performance Based Navigation (PBN) and user preferred trajectories? How can ANSPs configure their airspace sectors to reduce traffic complexity and controller workload?
Experts from The International Air Transport Association (IATA), South Africa’s Air Traffic Navigation Services (ATNS) and Metron Aviation will examine airspace/airport capacity analysis as a fundamental component of an Integrated Air Traffic Flow Management (I-ATFM) capability for maximizing airspace efficiency and enhancing safety. These experts will provide insights into airspace sector design, ICAO requirements for sector capacity determination, sector capacity optimization methods, airport capacity analysis and a thorough case study of South Africa’s airspace/airport capacity analysis as part of their Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) system.
