Metron Aviation Appoints Vice President of Business Development for Advanced Research and Engineering
Dulles, Virginia—September 28, 2009— Metron Aviation, a leading provider of advanced research, engineering services and Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) solutions, announces the appointment of Carol Huegel as Vice President of Business Development of Advanced Research and Engineering Services. Ms. Huegel possesses over 20 years of experience in the sales, design, development and deployment of technology solutions for the aviation community.Ms. Huegel joins Metron Aviation from Sensis Corporation, where she was Senior Director of Business Development. Her position included the development of products and services that enable aircraft operators, airport organizations and the FAA to more efficiently manage airside operations. Ms. Huegel maintains a strong track record in the formulation of surface/airport Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) concepts in the U.S. and internationally. She has contributed to the creation of the Eurocontrol Airport CDM Programme and the development of the U.S. surface concept in a variety of industry forums, including U.S. CDM and NextGen initiatives.

Prior to Sensis, Ms. Huegel held a variety of positions at ARINC, including Program Manager for the FAA’s VHF Extended Range Network (VERN) Program and ICAO’s Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) North Atlantic (NAT) Program. She was also responsible for the design and deployment of ARINC’s Data Link Delivery of Taxi Clearances (DDTC) tool.
