Metron Aviation Appoints Peter Hruz as Oceanic Subject Matter Expert
Dulles, Virginia—June 3, 2010— Metron Aviation, a proven leader in advanced research, engineering services and Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) solutions, has announced the appointment of Peter Hruz as Subject Matter Expert, Oceanic and Domestic Air Traffic Control. Mr. Hruz possesses over 30 years of air traffic experience, spanning oceanic, terminal, en-route, civilian and military control.
Mr. Hruz joins Metron Aviation from the FAA, where he was named the Support Manager of International Operations, Airspace & Procedures and Military Operations, in charge of the development and implementation for oceanic separation reduction and airspace redesign. He has been recognized in the aviation industry for his accomplishments by being a recipient of the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA), Earl F. Ward Memorial Award for oceanic improvements to safety, efficiency and the environment in 2009 and the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Leadership Award in 2008.

Mr. Hruz was also a member of the FAA delegation responsible for working with numerous International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) professional forums responsible for procedural and technical changes to operation systems, separation standards and practices with an emphasis on NextGen related technologies and philosophies.
