Issues in Air Traffic Management will focus on the requirements for global Air Traffic Management (ATM) and what is being done by the aviation industry and the government to achieve the NextGen vision. With air travel expected to double in the coming decades, the global aviation industry needs to deploy new technology and processes to accommodate and better manage growth, while enhancing safety for the flying public.

Discussion points will include, but not limited to:

  • What has been the progress toward future ATM in the U.S. and Europe?
  • Which efficiencies will result from Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) and who will benefit?
  • How will decisions be made across multiple domains?
  • Which equipment will be required on the aircraft to benefit from ATM efficiencies?
  • What is being done to globally harmonize ATM?

“This webinar should be a great opportunity to discuss what needs to be done today to create the necessary system-wide capacity for tomorrow” said Jack Kies, Metron Aviation. “Our industry needs to be motivated with a sense of urgency to proactively make near-term changes that will maintain safety and reduce delays in the face of rising flight volumes.”
