Metron Aviation’s Don Antonucci and Monte Belger to Speak at CANSO Global ATM Summit &15th AGM
Dulles, Virginia— June 7, 2011— Metron Aviation’s Chairman, Don Antonucci, and Vice President of Industry Relations, Monte Belger, are set to speak at the upcoming CANSO Global ATM Summit & 15th AGM. The Global ATM Summit and 15th AGM is an annual gathering of the world’s leading Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP) and aviation stakeholders, and will take place in Bangkok, Thailand on June 11 -14, 2011.
Don Antonucci was invited to deliver a keynote presentation and participate in the opening panel discussing Air Traffic Management (ATM) technology of ANSPs and how it can be used to improve efficiency, lower costs and increase capacity in the next decade. Mr. Antonucci will focus on the collaboration of the FAA’s Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) and EUROCONTROL’s Single European Sky ATM Research program (SESAR), and the role of great leadership as the foundational building block to achieve the aggressive goals for optimization. “I am really looking forward to speaking on this panel, and I’m also paired with a great group of speakers who are leaders in the industry, well positioned to discuss the next generation of global air traffic management,” says Don Antonucci. “This industry needs to look towards the future and deploy new technology that will enable the industry to move forward and better accommodate growth, while creating a more efficient and safer airspace.”
Monte Belger was asked to participate in the panel addressing ANSPs and Regulators, an industry view on what ANSPs need to do to reduce cost and improve efficiency by 2020 and how effective regulatory processes will ensure optimization. With emphasis on the important principle of how decisions today will shape the future tomorrow, Mr. Belger will outline the current challenges and the top priorities for 2020. “It is an honor to work with CANSO and be given the opportunity to speak amongst the industry’s key personnel,” says Monte Belger. “By coming together and discussing these critical topics, I believe we are one step closer to achieving realistic and affordable goals for the next generation of air traffic management”.
Metron Aviation will also be exhibiting at The Global ATM Summit and 15th AGM, highlighting their Integrated Air Traffic Flow Management (I-ATFM) solution, Metron Harmony for ANSPs. Metron Harmony for ANSPs is an automated ATFM system with Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) capabilities for improving efficiency, reducing delays, lowering emissions and enhancing predictability from gate-to-gate.
