Metron Aviation Appoints Arie Herweijer Vice President, Sales and Business Development

Dulles, Virginia — July 10, 2009 — Metron Aviation, a leading provider of Traffic Flow Management (TFM), has announced its appointment of Arie Herweijer as Vice President of Sales and Business Development.  Mr. Herweijer brings over 20 years of aviation sales and business development expertise in Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Collaborative Decision Making (CDM).

Mr. Herweijer joins Metron Aviation from HITT, where he was most recently the Regional Sales and Marketing Manager.  Among numerous career highlights, he built a successful sales and marketing operation throughout Asia, which resulted in numerous successful customer deployments with leading Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and aviation organizations.

In addition to his knowledge of the Asian region, Mr. Herweijer has worked with aviation organizations and individuals throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, to solve mission-critical traffic management challenges, with the right combination of products and services.
