Metron Aviation has been providing advanced research, concept engineering, environmental analysis, airspace design, software development and support services to the FAA and the global aviation community for over 15 years.
Metron Aviation utilizes a Concept Engineering (CE) methodology with Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) testing to rapidly turn groundbreaking concepts into prototypes — and ultimately operational systems — that support NextGen goals. The CE process utilizes the Integrated Simulation Environment (ISE) and is a key component of mission analysis and concept exploration. Operational simulations through ISE save time and money by accelerating the development of new concepts into deployed capabilities.
Environmental services include the analysis of airspace at airport, regional and national levels, as well as model development that enhances impact mitigation and policy support. Airspace design and research services focus on the analysis and optimization of the National Airspace System (NAS), providing valuable cost/benefit insight to customers.
Software development and support services leverage CE methods from concept exploration to prototype development and systems engineering. These services provide iterative, repeatable processes as a baseline for each area of development.
