Metron Aviation is experienced in searching through large quantities of National Airspace System (NAS) and Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) data for engineering and economic research. Leveraging this experience, Metron Aviation developed database systems that support numerous operational and post analysis tools like the Integrated Reporting and Information System (IRIS), Post Operations Evaluation Tool (POET) and Flight Schedule Analyzer (FSA). Additionally, Metron Aviation developed front-end tools that allow users to access the data warehouse and other data sources to create reports and perform analyses. In addition to development for clients like the FAA and NASA, multiple international entities are also supported. The order of magnitude of many of these systems is in terabytes, implemented on multiple platforms including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL on Linux/UNIX and Microsoft Windows.
