Advanced concept development, prototypes and operational systems

Metron Aviation has been developing concepts, prototypes and operational systems for over 15 years in partnership with the FAA and the Volpe Center. Our Concept Engineering and Development (CED) process and Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) testing methods have enabled concepts such as Airspace Flow Programs (AFP), Slot Credit Substitution (SCS), Departure Flow Management (DFM) and currently, System Enhancements for Versatile Electronic Negotiation (SEVEN), to mature from promising concept, to prototype, to fielded capability. Metron Aviation provides on-site operations and maintenance of deployed systems like Flight Schedule Monitor (FSM), Route Management Tool (RMT) and Post Operations Evaluation Tool (POET), and conducts field trials for prototypes as part of the core business and support of the FAA and the global aviation community.
