Aviation's technical staff is composed of scientists
and engineers from a wide range of disciplines.
Supporting their efforts is a dedicated staff of
technical and administrative personnel who share
a common goal of excellence.
The
members of our technical staff are experts
in creating solutions involving systems analysis,
modeling, simulation, optimization, feedback control,
graphical user interfaces, scientific software design,
software development, and system prototype development.
Our personnel have been involved with real-world
applications of information system technology for
many important National Airspace System (NAS) command
and control functions including Air Traffic Management
(ATM), Air Traffic Control (ATC), Collaborative
Decision Making (CDM), airline dispatch, training,
software support, and some of our staff are pilots.
Our
technical staff has a rich variety of academic backgrounds.
Approximately 95% of our staff holds bachelors degrees;
40% have masters degrees, and 10% of technical staff
hold Ph.D. degrees. The technical staff holds advanced
degrees in aeronautical, civil, electrical, mechanical,
software and systems engineering, operations research,
computer science, finance, mathematics, and physics.
