Training & Education Services

Our training & education services demonstrate to participants how to use Metron Aviation’s software solutions to predict what’s unpredictable and make critical decisions through hands-on practice.

Predicting the Unpredictable

Predicting the Unpredictable

Today’s air traffic flow management (ATFM) goes beyond safely guiding flights through the morning fog, to helping pilots navigate extreme weather events, uncontrolled spread of wildfires, and tight schedule constraints at high-volume airports. Such volatile conditions require a paradigm shift, a change in thinking, to predict what’s unpredictable and make critical decisions about an uncertain future—often in a matter of seconds.

To support this non-linear way of thinking, our customized training sessions focus on “what-if” simulations unique to your environment. Through hands-on practice, the participant learns to select the right functions of Metron Aviation’s flagship software to find the best solutions for real-life scenarios based on actual data, without interrupting operations.

Interactive Training Sessions

In-person and virtual sessions, led by world renowned instructors, provide interactive opportunities for participants to experience different approaches and outcomes, which are based on mathematical modeling of common problems in your part of the world.

This synergistic training approach is designed to teach:

How to think through a given air traffic problem, such as a severe thunderstorm
How to think through a given air traffic problem, such as a severe thunderstorm
How to use Metron Aviation software to manage the flow of air traffic, based on actual schedule data
How to use Metron Aviation software to manage the flow of air traffic, based on actual schedule data
How to leverage all available resources, i.e., weather forecasts and other types of technical data input
How to leverage all available resources, i.e., weather forecasts and other types of technical data input
